Elizabeth LaroseElizabeth Larose was raised in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Her artistic inclinations were evident from an early age as she sketched portraits and still life during every moment of free time. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honors from San Jose State University where she studied Fine Art. Subsequently she obtained her Masters and Doctorate Degrees from Columbia University.

Larose’s work deals with energy in nature and the consciousness of a place. Influenced by the colors and climate of her native Louisiana and years lived in India, Turkey and Colombia, her works evoke timelessness and the spirit of her subject matter. Her minimalist landscapes are simultaneously playful and peaceful, elegant and energetic. They appeal to us for their modulation and juxtaposition of color and subtle play of light.
